Pre-Market

There are many successful ways of trading, but mine does not involve trading pre-market. There is usually not sufficient volume and not enough people trading to get a true gauge of where the stock should be priced. During this time period(8-9:30 am) many stocks can also be manipulated with such a small amount of players trading on low volume. However, sometimes you can use this as an opportunity to hedge a position or book profits, but is not an essential element of my methodology. Patience and discipline are the keys to success, and trading the first 10 minutes after the markets opens can be dangerous. Wait for confirmed price strength after the opening bar, and you will increase your odds of succeeding.
This is very helpful. Thanks as always.
